| What's New: Updated 5/31/07 Some recent news:: Two new live recordings have been added at the myspace page: Dance of the Miller's Wife by Manuel de Falla, and the Gigue from BWV 997 by Bach. See link below. MM Degree Recital: 11/15/07, Griswold Hall of the Peabody Conservatory. Anthony completed his requirements for the Masters of Music degree at Peabody by presenting an hour-long recital of classical guitar music from a variety of styles. The program included works by Bach, Brouwer, Barrios, Rodrigo, and Scarlatti, as well as the WORLD PREMIER of a tremolo piece by Anthony Bosco. The recital also featured the assistance of fellow guitarist Kevin Shannon. The Bosco-Shannon duo is always looking for more performance opportunities. Recent Recordings: Classical Guitar Wedding Demo These recordings capture the essence of classical guitar wedding music. Scarlatti Sonata in B minor - This was recorded live as part of Kevin's Graduate Recital, arranged by Julian Gray and Ronald Pearl. (Slower connections can listen at the myspace page). Some other past events worth mentioning: 4/15/07 Kevin Shannon GPD recital - Anthony joined Kevin for several works by Manuel de Falla, arranged for two guitars. Listen to "The Dance of the Miller's Wife" at the Anthony Bosco myspace page! 10/24/06 Manuel Barrueco Masterclass - Anthony performed two movements from Bach's 2nd Lute Suite, and received incredibly insightful istruction from Barrueco. An awesome experience! 10/19/06 Elderhostel Concert - In preparation for the MM Degree recital, Anthony presented a full-length concert to a wonderful audience at Peabody. 10/14/06 Eduardo Isaac Masterclass - Anthony presented a work by Rodrigo. 7/29/06 Concert - Huffnagle Park in Quarryville, PA with fellow gutarists Jeremy Hutson and Paul Bergel. Anthony presented solo works by Barrios, Brouwer, Tarrega, and other composers. 7/21/06 Wedding Performance - Congrats to Kim and Eric!!!!!!! 7/16/06 Demo Recording Session - Philadelphia, PA. Special thanks to Brain Kateusz for assistance with recording. (see above) 5/6/06 - Bosco-Shannon Duo Performance - The duo performed for the Fortissimo group in Springfield PA, presenting a half hour set as an opening act for the folk singer trio Red Molly. This house concert was a huge success, and the duo has been invited to perform a full-length concert next season! Special thanks to John McGlinchey for providing us the venue and such a wonderful audience! 4/30/06 Chamber Music Concert at Peabody, the duo performed another Scarlatti Sonatta, K. 234 4/9/06 - Ana Vidovic Masterclass - As part of the Philadelphia Classical Guitar Society Annual Guitar Festival, Ana Vidovic gave a concert and masterclass. Anthony performed for the masterclass, and was very excited about it since he studied extensively with Vidovic, ever since seeing her perform in Philadelphia. 3/18/06 - Kevin Shannon Graduate Recital - Classical guitarist Kevin Shannon rocked the house in his degree recital at Peabody. A student of Julian Gray, Shannon performed solo works from a variety of styles and time periods. The program also included one duo work by Scarlatti, assisted by Anthony Bosco on guitar. (download recording above) Griswold Hall of the Peabody Conservatory, Baltimore, MD. Please note I have moved to Baltimore, MD, so lessons are no longer available in the Philadelphia area.
